Welcome!!  A WebQuest is an online learning activity that is centered around the Internet and self, or mutual discovery of the individual student  or a group of Learners. 

The purpose of this particular WebQuest is to guide a learner (or a group of learners) through a structured Learning activity about the Italian Waffle Cookie known as "Pizzelle" and now popular worldwide.  By completing this activity, a thorough understanding and appreciation of the Pizzelle will be gained.

-Introduction-

This WebQuest will guide a learner or group of learners on a journey of discovery about Pizzelle and it's origins and journey from the Abruzzi region of Italy, to America with many immigrant families as well as it's worldwide popularity.

For the purposes of this assignment, you as an individual, or with the work group you are assigned to, are performing a project on documenting the traditions which have been brought to this country from other parts of the world.  Your current assignment is to document the traditions and information involving the Italian waffle cookie known as the Pizzelle for the basis of completing a project for an electronically based display at the Smithsonian Museum.
